Fuzzy logic algorithm in autonomous vehicle navigation based on RFID sensors

摘要
The gradual implementation of active safety systems in modern vehicles, through private solutions and those widely accepted by car manufacturers, has several positive effects, from increased passenger and pedestrian safety, to fuel consumption optimization for initial effects of pollution reduction. In the context accelerated deployment of active safety systems techniques, by installing in-vehicle sensors, upgrading road infrastructure to allow for the installation of specific sensors, it is important to establish a common development environment for major automotive manufacturers and research programs. This paper investigates the influence of sensors mounted along a modeled roadway, in a controlled environment, by developing a displacement algorithm through the implementation of a fuzzy logic control system and implementing a recognition and control system based on UHF-RFID technology. Passive RFID tags have been researched and used in transport and control systems but acting as safety beacons. The novelty of this concept is the development of an identification system based on a four-point triangulation through written GPS coordinates on RFID labels thus, real time vehicle identification can be achieved.
