Sync-BIM: The Interactive BIM-Based Platform for Controlling Data-Driven Kinetic Facade

摘要
The research presents a methodology and tool development which delineates the performance-based building active control system. We demonstrates the integration of environment sensors, the parametric engine, and interactive facade components by using the BIM-based system called Sync-BIM. It is developed by the BIM-based parametric engine called Dynamo. The Dynamo engine works as the building brain to determine the interactive control scenarios between buildings and surroundings micro-climate conditions. There are three sequent procedures including 1. data input, 2. scenario process, and command output to loop the interactive control scenarios. The kinetic facade prototype embedded with Sync-BIM system adopts the daylight values as the parameter to control the transformation of facade units. The kinetic facade units dynamically harvest the daylight via opening ratios for the sake of higher building energy performance.
