摘要
This text asserts that the birth of the Colombian human rights movement resulted from the confluence of two different political currents. In the late 1970s, human rights took on a role that they had not enjoyed in previous years. In Colombia, more than a human rights movement existed a set of organizations whose objectives were subordinated but promoted solidarity based on Third World internationalism to the rest of the left-wing social movements. This perspective allows us to understand the novelty and continuities that shaped this nascent movement. © 2022 Universidad de Antioquia. All rights reserved.
