摘要
Objective: The goal of this article was to analyze the main dimensions of research and study opportunities on boards of directors of family businesses. Methodology / Approach: We carry out a bibliometric research of citations and bibliographic coupling using data collected from the Web of Science database. Exploratory Factor Analysis was used for the groupings of articles and the extracted factors were superimposed on the representation of the network diagram. Originality / Relevance: The distinction and relevance of this research is the fact that it allows the understanding of the connections between the main studies on boards of family businesses. Main Results: We present five different factors that demonstrate the relationships between the main concepts, approaches and theories used in research on boards of family businesses. Theoretical / methodological contributions: The main contribution of this study is to discuss the main research perspectives in studies on boards of directors of family businesses, enabling a better direction of future research.
