摘要
In order to improve the ability of the bridge pier to resist the impact of debris flow, a new type of device for bridge pier protection is proposed. The device is a double-layer steel plate-foam aluminum composite structure wrapped around the pier, each layer is connected with a stiffened plate as a skeleton, and aluminum foam is used as a filling energy absorbing material, and set to an ellipsoid style. The numerical simulation method is used to verify the effectiveness of the protective measures by comparing the dynamic responses of the piers with or without protective measures in terms of damage results, impact force, displacement, speed and acceleration. The conclusion shows that the protective measures can reduce the impact damage to the bridge pier and reduce the displacement of the pier as well as achieve the purpose of protecting the pier.
