摘要
Organization as one of the management functions, significantly affects the destination management. It is defined as a hierarchy of responsibilities and roles of stakeholders in tourism development in destination, which is covered by destination management organisation. In countries with developed tourism, the evolution of tourism organizational structure has the tradition over 50 years. In Slovakia the Act. 91/2010 Coll. on tourism support has encouraged the creation of micro-regional and subsequently regional tourism organizations in destinations. The aim of this paper is to examine the formation of the organization of tourism in Slovakia and point out its characteristics and effects on destination management. The network analysis and quantitative characteristics of cooperation between destination management organizations is used. The result of the study lies in the finding that the current organizational structure of tourism in Slovakia is imperfect and do not support the effective destination management.
