摘要
This paper presents the effect of a magnetic field applied during the dendritic solidification of an Al 10%mass Cu alloy. It is shown that an electrical current density exists in the dendritic network due to thermoelectric effects. The magnetic field creates thus a Lorentz force. The alloy is solidified horizontally so this force directly opposes or reinforces the buoyancy forces.
