摘要：
At the present, the development of the research and application of the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) is being hastened in many developed countries of the world. In China, the overall research on ITS is in the preliminary informal discussion and the study on the Traffic Guidance System (TGS), as one of the important fields of ITS research, has been in starting. This paper will briefly introduce ITS and TGS, the main research contents of them and the support background of the National Natural Science Foundation of China in this area.
