摘要
A 3D time dependent FEL oscillator simulation code has been expanded to include longitudinal mode competition. In this paper, FEL evolution from spontaneous emission to saturation is analysed. Simulation shows that the cavity transverse mode competition has little effect on the longitudinal mode competition and start-up process. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
