摘要
The two important factors for storage and transmission of image data are memory and bandwidth. To process and transmit the huge image data through a wireless link is one of the main challenges in mobile multimedia communication. The work presented in this paper focuses on new strategies for efficient transmission of compressed image content through wireless links using a multiple antenna technology. Different Wavelet methods have been used to compress the image for efficient bandwidth utilization. In the proposed system, MIMO-OFDM (Multiple Input Multiple Output Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) is used to increase the channel capacity and link reliability with reduced inter-symbol interference, orthogonal variable spreading codes (OVSF) have been used to combat the channel errors. They have an added advantage of orthogonality maintenance of carriers. The proposed system is advantageous in various aspects viz adaptability, optimal power utilization, and low hardware complexity. To evaluate the performance of the proposed method, various performance parameters have been calculated. The results have been found satisfactory. It has been concluded that the proposed system is capable of being integration with the future generations of the communication.
