Study on Setting up Information System of Land Degertization by GIS Techniques

The problem of land desertification is main task in the field of land management in our state especially in our Autonomous region, how to scientifically, efficiently, fasted accurately get the changing information is the main task of this paper. The GIS techniques are vital methods of researching environment & resources and important for current direction of space information techniques. The application of GIS techniques which is superior to others can fast acquire static and dynamic varying information and spatial distribution. It is widely applied to land resource management. This paper takes Duolun country as example and explores how to set up information system of land desertification by GIS techniques.
