摘要：

This article addresses planning for information technology and highlights issues that concern utility mangers. Information technology offers substantial benefits to utilities; however, there are also pitfalls and costs associated with the technology. the article addresses the major components of an information technology plan and illustrates some difficulties and challenges facing organizations that are installing new information systems.
