Simultaneous liquid chromatographic analysis of milk ribonucleosides and -nucleotides.

The paper describes the simultaneous liquid chromatographic analysis of milk ribonucleosides and their 5'-monophosphorylated derivates. The analytical results show, that it is possible by masking the phosphate charges with Mg2+ and Ca2+ ions to bind chemoselectively ribonucleotides directly from the milk matrix to the pre-column gel immobilized with modified phenyl boronic acid and to transfer the compounds onto the analytical column for separation. Future investigations should improve the analytical procedure to achieve a separation of the coeluating milk compounds 5'-CMP and 5'-UMP.
