摘要
Considered are weather conditions during the Sochi-2014 pre-Olympic and Olympic periods, the types of prognostic products issued by the forecasters, and the requirements to them. Analyzed are some cases of extreme weather events and the related results of model computations. Revealed are the basicdifficulties of forecasting and model behavior underextreme weather conditions in complex terrain with the prevalence of the general trend towards the successful prediction.
