Estimation of Equivalent Circuit Parameters of Induction Motor Based on FEM with Modelling and Experimental Verification

摘要：
This paper presents a generalized methodology to study the performance of one of widely used motors that is the three-phase induction motor. The equivalent circuit parameters are estimated by finite element analysis based on its real dimensions. Then the estimated parameters are forwarded to a dynamic model that is built with MAT LABO/SIMULINKO where a thorough performance analysis can be achieved. The approach validity was verified by experimental measurements and testing on a real-life case study (medium voltage induction motor) with the help of a power analyzer equipment which assures that the approach can be used to estimate the parameters and study the performance for any other three-phase induction motor.
