摘要：
This article discusses challenges and opportunities for virtualizing laboratory exercises in university courses in order to allow for remote teaching. Besides addressing the design of such virtual laboratories in general, it also highlights the impact of urgent needs for course restructuring resulting from the Corona pandemic. Two case studies for entry-level and major courses in Power Engineering are presented.
