摘要
In this paper, a simple method is proposed to be artificially colorized for images, which are generated by the ultrasound medical imaging modality. In the proposed method, first, a total variation method, which includes both the smoothing term and the fidelity term, is considered to eliminate speckle noise from the given image. Then, gradient values of the image are computed in the horizontal and vertical directions. These generated images are set to three color channels in the red, green and blue color space. In this study, the smoothed given image, gradient values in the horizontal direction and gradient values in the vertical direction are set to the red color channel, the green color channel and the blue color channel respectively. Thus, the structure and texture information of the given image are able to be colorized without excessive degradation. In other words, in the proposed method, the images, which are created via the ultrasound medical imaging modality, are artificially successfully colorized.
