摘要
Sr2Gd8(SiO4)(6)O-2:Ce3+/Mn2+, an oxyapatite structure phosphor, was prepared through a high temperature solid state reaction method. The crystal structure, luminescence properties, and energy transfer mechanism of the samples were investigated in detail. Under the irradiation of 330 nm, tunable colors from blue to yellow, including white can be realized through the energy transfer from Ce3+ to Mn2+ ions. The energy transfer mechanism of Ce3+ -> Mn2+ was discussed and demonstrated to be a dipole-dipole interaction according to the results of the emission spectra and decay curves of the phosphors. Moreover, the thermal stability of the Ce3+ and Mn2+ co-doped Sr2Gd8(SiO4)(6)O-2 phosphors were studied through the temperature-dependent emission spectra. The results suggest that Sr2Gd8(SiO4)(6)O-2:Ce3+/Mn2+ maybe used as color tunable phosphors in white-light-emitting diodes (WLEDs) .
