5th European Chapter of the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society (TERMIS), Granada, Spain, June 7-10, 2011 Abstracts

This meeting, which focuses on histopathology, contains approximately 700 abstracts, all written in English. Topics covered include adipose tissue derived stem cells in tissue engineering approaches, biofabrication for regenerative medicine applications, biofunctional materials as extracellular signals to promote tissue morphogenesis, biointerfacial engineering in regenerative medicine, biomaterials and the reactions they elicit in the body, bioreactors technologies for tissue engineering and cell-based therapies at bedside. Also discussed are characterization of tissue mechanics, computational modeling in tissue engineering, engineering a functional tendon, biomechanics in tissue engineering, injectable scaffolds, innovations in stem cell-based cardiac tissue engineering and mastering surface aspects to control biomaterials interactions with cells and tissues.
