With great partialness, MATLAB is a professional foundation course so that it is one of the software which the engineering students must master. Therefore, on the concept of Cultivation of Application-oriented Graduates, it is a major program for teachers to survey that how to improve the students' application ability. Aiming to exploring a mode suitable to teach the professional software based on cultivation of application-oriented talents, we provide an insight into the reform and practical measures in terms of the theoretical, practical and evaluative aspects.
