摘要
A calorimeter for measuring the energy of pulsed microwave radiation with a duration from several ns to 1 s is described. Its operation principle is based on the absorption of radiation by a polar liquid and its expansion into a capillary. The energy Q is measured in the range from 1 mJ to 100 J. The minimum measurable energy density is about 3 mu J/cm(2). The coefficient of energy absorption ranges from 0.9 to 0.99 for radiation wavelengths from 7.5 to 13 and 2.4 to 3.5 cm. For Q in the range from 0.2 to 3 J, the absorbed energy is measured with an accuracy better than 1%.
