摘要
Our main objective is to improve the learning process and outcomes of students in the course Basic Statistics, which is offered as part of the new Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and the Bachelor's Degree in Public Works Engineering. For this purpose, a teaching methodology was adopted where continuous assessment in classroom practical sessions and computer laboratory sessions play a greater role and where independent learning by students is encouraged. This methodology required that a great effort be made to create and adapt materials and to restructure the contents of the subject. Preliminary results show that the proposed teaching methodology quite successfully adapts to the new challenge of teaching in the Bachelor's degree program.
