摘要
The aim of this paper is to evaluate the potential of individual regions of the Czech Republic for hunting tourism as a sector that could contribute to the development of rural areas. The maximum possible offer was evaluated on the basis of planned annual hunting of hoofed game for the year 2014 in various regions. The highest number of planned hunting of deer was recorded in Plzensky region, fallow deer, moufflon and wild boar in Stredocesky region and roe deer dominated in Jihocesky region. High concentration of hoofed game was evaluated on the basis of planned annual hunting of game per hectare of hunting area. The highest number of planned hunting per hectare then was recorded for deer and moufflon in Karlovarsky region, fallow deer in Stredocesky region, roe deer in Kralovehradecky region and wild boar in Liberecky region. Using the example of Stredocesky region in terms of real hunting during last 10 years a growing trend of population of deer, fallow deer, moufflon and wild boar was demonstrated. The slight decline was recorded in population of roe deer. All regions except Prague have a good prerequisite for the development of hunting tourism.
