摘要
The effect of a disk asperity and a void on the heat transfer in the head disk interface is investigated. The compressible Reynolds equation with rarefaction effects is used to calculate the pressure distribution with an asperity and a void on the disk surface. The mean free path of the air is assumed to be a function of the local pressure. The heat flux in the air bearings is analyzed based on the energy equation.
