摘要
Water resource is an important resource for the economic development. Shanxi's water resource is relatively scarce. In 2005 the water resource per capita is just 11.69% of the average national level. So we should have a comprehensive understanding about the carrying capacity at present in order to make effective policy in the future. The paper defines the concept of the carrying capacity of water resource in the first part, and then measures the carrying capacity compared with the national level. On the other hand the paper puts forward a model evaluating the carrying capacity based on two different living standards. Finally the paper measures the regional difference of carrying capacity and draws the conclusion that the overloading is serious in Shanxi as a whole and also serious in most regions. We should not ignore the problem.
