Bra Design Knowledge Management Using Ontology Modeling Method

With the revolution in the development of new technology and the arrival of knowledge economy, knowledge can be used as a production factor just like capital, workforce and raw material. It is found from the survey within the underwear companies that most companies amassed many intra-firm valued design experiences, parameters and examples nowadays. However, since there is a lack of effective management and organization for this information, the standardization of bra design process and the efficiency for information searching, sharing and reuse are low. Therefore, it is essential to apply approaches to knowledge management to manage bra products' information, which will optimize enterprise resource as well as enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises. This paper presents the research work on the modeling knowledge representation for bra products. The "Eight Steps" modeling method is developed based on ontology modeling method towards bra products. The study work aims to solve problems of knowledge representation during bra design.
