摘要
Confidence in students learning a foreign language is a considerably sensitive area that has been researched quite a lot. Despite of this, teachers still find it difficult to immerse themselves into students' minds and discover the best way to help them overcome being scared when speaking a foreign language. This paper tries to analyse some possible ways to succeed and increase a learner's will to speak. There have been several reasons/factors distinguished as the main obstacle restraining students from fully expressing themselves. The aim of this survey was to develop certain techniques that would help the teacher to accommodate these (techniques) within the right psychological approach as much of his own as of the students' in order to obtain their enjoyment and speaking skill without any strains. Students of different levels answered the questionnaire assessing their attitude, anxiety and motivation towards learning English. Each opinion has been evaluated and put into relationship with the ability to relax, understand, learn and enjoy at the same time. Analyses of the questionnaires have confirmed the tight connection between self-confidence and the learning ability of students. Based on this factor certain techniques have been developed to prune away anxiety and build confidence instead. Confidence mastery has thus become the fundamental aim of the present survey.
