The spider Latrodectus mirabilis is recorded for Brazil, based on specimens collected in outcrops areas at Area de Protecao Ambiental do Rio Ibirapuita, Sant'Ana do Livramento, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The only species of the genus known from Brazil were L. curacaviensis, L. geometricus and L. mactans.
