A new species of Brachytydeus Thor, 1931 (senior synonym of Lorryia Oudemans, 1925 sensu Kazmierski), Brachytydeus persiaensis n. sp., is described and illustrated. It was collected from peach orchards soil in Shendabad, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran.
