TEACHING THERMODYNAMICS TO FUTURE PROFESSIONALS IN MARITIME AND SHIPPING INDUSTRY

摘要
This paper treats aspects of teaching Thermodynamics to future specialists in Navigation and Maritime Transport and in Business and Engineering in Transports, in Constanta Maritime University. This new discipline is introduced in the curricula of these two tracks as a consequence of implementing the Bologna Process. In this respect, Thermodynamics lecturer had to face two challenges: to draw Up and to implement a competitive teaching syllabus (by colligating the thermodynamic analysis. based on the concept of "exergy", with economical analysis, in the framework of a thermo economic method of study) and to handle with the poor number of hours allocated to the discipline. Having in view that fast technological developments in marine technology go hand in hand with efficient training, the scientific background achieved due to this discipline will contribute to meet exigencies imposed by demands of maritime industry.
