摘要：
Corporate restructuring through divesting (voluntary liquidations, de-mergers, equity carve-outs, etc.) plays an important role in the advanced market economies and enjoy the attention of researchers who have dedicated numerous works on this issue. This paper aims to provide some definitions of the concept of 'disinvestment', to present the main causes behind the divesting and analyze some of the most popular strategies for divestiture. Last but not least, the paper presents some key elements for successful implementation of the divestiture strategies.
