摘要
The properties of unsized and coated with different sizing material carbon fiber (CF) reinforced tyre compounds were examined. Unsized CF and CFs which were sized with polyurethane-, epoxy- and phenoxy-sizing were selected. A blend of SBR and BR was used as matrix. The tyre compounds were prepared by using open two-roll mill. The effects of CF sizing material types on the mechanical properties of the tyre compounds were investigated. The addition of CF in compounds significantly increases the low elongation modulus and hardness and decreases the loss factor. Sizing material on the surface of the CF is very effective parameters for abrasion resistance for tire tread materials.
