摘要
This paper reports on surface hardening behavior of gray cast irons heal-treated with a laser beam with a wavelength of 1.06 mu m (Nd: YAG laser). Three types of gray cast iron were used for the experiments: one ferritic, second pearlitic and third pearlitic with a significant amount of ternary phosphorous eutectic. The paper focuses on structures and hardness values obtained after laser beam quenching under various regimes.
