摘要
The Spanish Civil War was a period of unprecedentedly intensive relations between the USSR and Spain. Contacts between the two countries were not limited to military-technical cooperation. The civil war saw a record surge in mutual deliveries of non-military goods. The USSR supplied primarily oil products and food, as well as machinery and equipment. Spain supplied metals, mainly copper, and fruits, mostly citrus. Non-military supplies went on increasing, reaching a peak at the turn of 1937-1938, then receded and almost completely ceased in 1939.
