Unusual transport along wavy-rough nanotubes

摘要
We adopt the shear-thinning fluid model and boundary perturbation method to study the transport in a radius-corrugated nanotube. We can obtain the flow rate (up to the second order) inside the wavy-rough nanotube. Our results show that for small forcing (along the nanotube-axis direction) there is enhanced transport for wavy-rough nanotubes. Once the forcing is rather large, however, there is small reduction of flow rate (compared to the smooth nanotube).
