摘要
To establish a river health indicator system special for the Haihe River Basin and evaluate the health conditions of Haihe river basin objectively and comprehensively, the author starts from the river ecological health and holds the opinion that firstly, the river health means that a river can play both its natural functions and social functions and secondly, the evaluation of the health conditions of a river requires a normal condition as the benchmark which shall be regarded as the standard of comparison and health assessment. Besides, as for the indicator selection, the indicators about natural functions have been given preference after the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the river health indicators in foreign countries and the review of the experience in river health evaluation in China and based on the excessive exploitation of the social functions of the plain tracts of the Haihe River which causes severe ecological environment problem that the natural functions decline. Yongding River and Weiyunhe River are typical examples for the evaluation of river ecological health conditions. The comprehensive index of the river reach of Yongding River from Sanjiaduan to Dongzhou Bridge is 35.5 and the overall assessment is unhealthy. That of the river reach from Dongzhou Bridge to Qujiadian is 43.6 and the overall assessment is subhealthy. The serious problems of Yongding River is that the water volume decreases sharply and the river channel cuts off. The comprehensive index of the river reach of Weiyunhe River from Xuwanchuang to Sinvshi is 22.5 and the overall assessment is unhealthy. The serious problems are that the water is severely polluted and due to the pollution, the organisms in the water are close to extinction.
