摘要
The paper shows buildings' heat consumption certification system developed in Latvia for multi-storied apartment buildings as a result of study on buildings heat consumption done in 1998/99. It briefly describes energy certification schemes used in energy management and environmental management systems as well as EU requirements to energy certification of buildings. The paper also informs about implementation of building energy certification project (ENERLAB) in Ogre town that is supported by EU LIFE Programme and started in 2002. The specific feature of the project is building energy labeling that will help to create energy awareness of inhabitants.
