摘要：

The purpose of this study is to investigate the elastic-plastic behaviour of pressure vessels with ellipsoidal and torispherical heads. The investigation was carried out by finite element analysis and lower bound limit analysis. First yield pressures, limit pressures and shakedown pressures are obtained for various geometric parameters and compared with previous results.
