摘要
In the context of international carbon emission reduction, it is of great significance to study the impact and mechanism of embedding in the global value chain on the embodied carbon emissions in trade of China's manufacturing industry, so as to promote China's manufacturing industry to achieve the dual goals of embedding in the high-end in global value chain and low-carbon development. This paper measures and analyses GVC (Global Value Chains) position, GVC forward participation, GVC forward participation, GVC backward participation and the embodied carbon emissions in trade of manufacturing industry and its sub-sectors in China and other countries. On this basis, this paper systematically analyses the mechanism of GVC position and different ways of embedding in global value chain of manufacturing industry on the embodied carbon emissions in trade. The mechanism of different ways of embedding in global value chain of manufacturing industry on the embodied carbon emissions in trade is divided into scale, structure and technology effects. Based on the data of China's manufacturing industry from 2000 to 2014, this paper establishes a panel regression model for empirical analysis. Based on this, this paper puts forward some policy suggestions to promote China's manufacturing industry to improve the level of embedding in global value chain and realise low-carbon development.
