THE IDENTITY CRISIS OF EDUCATION IN THE AGE OF GLOBALIZATION

Education today goes through an extensive process of de-structuring, being in identity crisis. A crisis characterized by the crisis of values, involute shock of quality, crisis of epistemic authority, functional institutional crisis, the crisis of vision and mission, aims crisis, moral crisis, deepening lack of relevance so on. This phenomenon manifests itself in educational and social capital devaluation, weakening confidence in both the formal and non-formal education strategies. The study proposes remedial solutions, focusing on both the content compatibility, as well as ensuring continuity to constants diversities. The paper contains a case study on juvenile justice in Romania.
