摘要
The epidemiological surveillance Bonis system is a computer system designed in the context of a development cooperation project established with Paraguay. The system is operational since last May 2010 in an area of the capital Asuncion, with a positive result in the early detection of contagious diseases such as dengue fever, influenza and others. The success of the impact on the health of the people is due, among other factors, the effective training of staff of epidemiological surveillance. Training has been developed taking into account the following characteristics: a) subject to teach (computer application), b) group to qualify (heterogeneous group that includes epidemiologists, physicians, administrators, health care assistant and general population), c) availability and adequacy of educational media. Training has been conducted in different phases and in different ways. The training team consists of members of the Multimedia-EHU group at the University of the Basque Country and local members of the Institute for Research in Health Sciences; both groups are experienced on face to face and online courses; they have combined their expertise with the potential of ICTs for a training plan to achieve an effective and sustainable formation.
