Peculiarities of distribution of macrobenthos biomass of the upper sublitoral in south-eastern part of the Laptev sea

The macrobenthos biomass of bottoms biocenosis in the sublittoral of the Laptev sea were studied. The macrobenthos is characterize by the low indices of total density (from 680 to 3440 ex/sq.m), biomass (from 28,2 to 70,42 g/sq.m) and species diversity total registered number of species is 62). The major features of the spatial distribution of the macrobenthos biomass are closely related to sediment characteristics and salinity. The biomass of macrobenthos in the surface arctic water mass is considerably higher than in the estuary arctic one and have a distinct tendency towards decline at depths of contact of water masses. The highest biomasses of the biocenosis are observed in the cores of the water masses.
