摘要
Characteristics of the Yellow River is less in water and much in sediment. Water and sediment yields in different regions. The Baihe - Gaocun reach is a typical meandering channel with the features of wide, shallow, separated and braided flow as well as frequently shifting of main flow. The training in the lower Yellow River has always been concerned in history and there are various opinions. The more influencing idea is fixing the middle - water river channel and training the channel according to the training strategy with wandering pattern. Impact factors and characters of river regime evolution in meandering channel are studied in the paper through analysis on water and sediment data, summing up experience on projects and results of model test etc. The following conclusion is obtained: Under the future condition of incoming water and sediment, meandering Lower Yellow River can be transformed into a relatively stable restricted wandering channel, through river channel training works to change boundary condition.
