Research on Higher Education Environment for Training the Innovative Talents in China

Strengthening the cultivation of the innovative talents is the inevitable demand of promoting the development, but the target of the cultivation of the innovative talents in universities is weakening. The reasons are as follows. The teaching ideas are obsolete and backward, including the fixed and unified teaching contents, the teaching method of "indoctrination", and the insufficient experimental hours. The assessment models are old and rigid, and the evaluation attaches great importance to the knowledge reservation, but less to the examination, emphasizes much of the closed book written examination, but less on the operational testing, and pays much attention to the summative assessment but not the diagnosis process. Therefore, the current environment of the college education should be optimized.
