Monitoring of Different Technologies of Photovoltaic Module at STC Conditions in Algeria's Sahara (ICSEWEN19)

摘要
This study dealt with the assessment of installed photo-voltaic (PV) modules-based open four thin film technologies: mono-crystalline heterojunction with intrinsic thin layer (HIT), copper indium selenide (CIS), multi-crystalline and mono-crystalline back contact (B-C), and tandem structure of amorphous silicon with microcrystalline silicon (a.si/mu.si) and a.si. Also, a facility of the meteorological station in SAIDA situated at the gate of the Algerian Sahara has been investigated for the evaluation of solar and PV capacities of the Algerian desert as part of Sahara Solar Breeder (SSB) Project. The measurement of various performance parameters was analyzed in order to find the best technology suitable for Saida city climate conditions. The modules were characterized in outdoor conditions without shadow. It was found that the a.si/mu.si and the HIT performed better than the two other technologies.
