Excitation function of net charge fluctuations at RHIC

摘要
We present measurements of dynamical net charge fluctuations in Au + Au collisions at root s(NN) = 0, 130 and 200 GeV using the measure v(+-), (dyn). The dynamical fluctuations are finite and exhibit a rather modest dependence on beam energy. We also find they violate the trivial 1/N scaling expected for nuclear collisions consisting of in dependent nucleon-nucleon interactions. We speculate this may be due to a combination of thermalization and radial flow effects.
