摘要
This article presents a perspective of the main transformations and challenges of higher education in Colombia and principal organizational changes that, in the framework of these challenges, institutions are developing. It presents an overview of the administrative structures and the training profile of directors. For this, a theoretical analysis and an empirical study was developed. Empirical study deals with design, validation and application of a questionnaire to directors of physical education programs in the country. Theoretical analysis results show the historical evolution of higher education. It beginning in the 80s, until the recent attempt to reform Law 30 and its subsequent actions. The results of empirical study show the accreditation of programs and curricular reforms or adjustments as the main situations of change, product of national government policies. A training profile of directors, typical of the same idiosyncrasy of higher education institutions, consists of professors with professional training in the field of physical education and poor postgraduate training in the area of administration. Due to the unexplored topic in the field of physical education, this work is a starting point for other research. Future lines such as analysis in other regions and / or fields of knowledge are open.
