摘要
The normal bridge-type Superconducting Fault Current Limiter (SFCL) can limit the peak value of fault current rather than the steady state value. Adopting power electronics technology to rectify the structure of the bridge-type SFCL is very effective. It also remains the advantage of the normal bridge-type SFCL. After the deeply analysis on the limiting current process of a new bridge-type SFCL, PACAD is used to simulate the limiting current situation when three-phase short-circuit fault happens in the power system. It is proved that SFCL can not only restrain the fault current and the bus voltage drop, but also needn't replace the existing switch devices. So it has greater economic benefits.
