摘要
In this investigation, ZnO nanoparticles were prepared by chemical precipitation method. Ethylenediaminetetra acetic acid (EDTA) was used as a capping agent. The particles were characterized by XRD, UV-Vis spectroscopy, Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and FTIR spectroscopy. Calculation based on the XRD data reveals that the synthesized ZnO nanoparticles are of hexagonal phase with similar to 40 nm average particle size. The surface morphology was investigated by using SEM and the elemental analysis by Energy dispersive analysis of X-rays (EDAX). Band gap was also calculated using UV-Vis spectroscopy. A standard peak of zinc oxide was observed at 480 cm(-1) from FTIR spectroscopy.
