Industrial Characteristics and Technology Spillover Effects of FDI -an empirical analysis based on China's manufacturing industry

The introduction of foreign capital is often regarded as an important way for developing countries to acquire the latest technologies, especially key technologies. However, the investment activities of transnational corporations themselves are not burdened with the obligation to disseminate advanced technologies, and their own advantages and strengths pose a serious threat to the survival of enterprises in the host countries. Therefore, the problem of technology spillover effect of transnational corporations is very controversial in reality. In this article, through the analysis of China's manufacturing industry panel data, this paper discusses the existence of FDI technology spillover effect and the characteristics of market structure and technology gap influence on FDI technology spillover effect, and on this basis, put forward the corresponding policy recommendations.
